Who had the easiest schedule in the 2022 ELF season? The Strength of Schedule (SoS) shows that @BER_Thunder and @SWARCO_RAIDERS had the easiest schedule (SoS=0.473), followed by @ViennaVikings (SoS=0.481) and @Dragons_BCN (SoS=0.482).

(SoS=0.550) had by far the hardest schedule, followed by @pantherswroclaw (SoS=0.530) and @SeaDevilsHH (SoS=0.514). SoS uses the win percentage of a teams opponents to quantify the hardness of a teams schedule.

A Teams own games versus an opponent are not used when computing the opponents win percentage. SoS therefore should be independent of a teams own strength.

SoS Accounts for that by removing all Stuttgart games for calculating their opponent winning percentage. So everyone has two wins less->Stuttgart SoS goes up. Vice versa for Hamburg and wins

In comparison, Vienna played 8-4 FGY, 8-4 RAI. Hamburg played two teams who almost made it to the play-offs: 7-5 RHF, 7-5 BTH – slightly easier than VIK. HSD played 4-8 LKG, VIK played 0-12 SUR – much easier for VIK. On average (!) VIKs schedule is slightly easier.

That is what the data (wins) tell us. I see that your feeling is Raiders and Galaxy are so much stronger than Thunder and Fire (although Fire beat Galaxy). But this perceived strength didn’t result in much more wins.
